Qt is a cross-platform C++ application and user-interface framework whose ecosystem spans desktop, embedded, mobile, and device software. The current unversioned package follows the Qt 6 generation.
项目历史
Haavard Nord and Eirik Chambe-Eng conceived Qt in 1990 while working on a cross-platform C++ application. Trolltech publicly released Qt 0.90 for X11/Linux in May 1995.
Nokia acquired Trolltech in 2008 and introduced LGPL licensing for Qt in 2009. Development later moved to the openly governed Qt Project, while Digia and subsequently The Qt Company became its commercial stewards.
Qt 5 arrived in 2012 with increased modularity, Qt Quick, QML, and hardware-accelerated graphics. Qt 6 followed in December 2020 with C++17, a revised graphics architecture, and CMake as the framework's own build system.

KDE's selection of Qt made the framework central to the Unix and Linux desktop ecosystem. Subsequent QPL, GPL, and LGPL licensing changes broadened its acceptance in free-software distributions and commercial applications.
Qt expanded from desktop GUI development into embedded systems, mobile interfaces, automotive software, appliances, and other cross-platform products. The Qt Project's open-governance model also established a formal upstream contribution process.

Developers use Qt Core for portable non-GUI facilities, Qt Widgets for traditional desktop interfaces, and Qt Quick/QML for declarative and animated interfaces.
Modern projects generally locate Qt components with CMake's find_package and link imported Qt targets. qmake remains available for existing projects and simpler workflows.
The optional qt.conf or qt6.conf file can override compiled-in library, plugin, translation, documentation, and QML import paths for a deployed application.
