PureScript Language Server was developed as a Node-based LSP wrapper around the IDE server included with the PureScript compiler, historically known as psc-ide and now invoked through purs ide server.

The project broadened compiler IDE functionality into standard LSP features, including completion, definitions, hover information, symbols, diagnostics, code actions, import fixes, case splitting, and formatter integration.

The server was originally consumed by VS Code and Atom integrations but was designed around the editor-neutral Language Server Protocol. Its README documents use with Neovim, Vim LSP clients, Coc, and other clients supporting stdio, sockets, pipes, or Node IPC.

Its practical adoption follows the PureScript toolchain: projects commonly combine the language server with the purs compiler, Spago sources and builds, and an external formatter.

使用方式

Editors launch purescript-language-server with a transport such as --stdio and send purescript.* settings through LSP configuration. The server locates the compiler and project tooling, starts purs ide server, reports diagnostics, provides navigation and completion, and invokes a configured external formatter.

Configuration is client-supplied through LSP initialization or workspace configuration, with a JSON --config option as a fallback; upstream does not document a standalone configuration-file location.
