项目历史

Matthew Simpson created pipes.sh and posted it to the Arch Linux Forums in early 2010, later releasing it through a Gist into the public domain. Yu-Jie Lin published a modification in 2013.

The script received a dedicated GitHub repository in 2014. In 2015, maintainers added the MIT license and formed the Pipeseroni collective to maintain pipes.sh and related terminal-art programs.
