プロジェクトの歴史

The product line began as a fork of tokcat, which itself used tokscale. The current macOS application is a ground-up native Swift rewrite with a Rust core derived from tokscale-core rather than a continuation of tokcat's Tauri code.

The macOS application was called TokenBar before version 2.0 and was renamed Syrtis while preserving existing settings, history, and login-item state. A Windows tray application uses the same Syrtis name and shared Rust parsing core.

Syrtis packages local AI-coding usage analysis as a native macOS menu-bar application installed through its Homebrew tap or signed releases. Its support for many coding agents reflects the spread of local session-log formats across Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Copilot, Kiro, and related tools.
