Gearboy is an open-source C++ emulator maintained by Ignacio Sanchez (drhelius). Its scope expanded beyond Game Boy and Game Boy Color emulation to include Super Game Boy support, a full debugger, RetroArch integration, and AI-assisted tooling through an embedded MCP server.
