PyGitUp is a Python port of Aanand Prasad's Ruby git-up. The project reached 1.0 in September 2013, later removed its Python 2 compatibility layer in the 2.0 release, and continued adding worktree, auto-push, and configurable conflict-handling behavior.

PyGitUp found a durable niche among users who liked the original Ruby git-up workflow but preferred a Python implementation, wanted Windows support, or did not want to install a Ruby toolchain. The official README documents distribution through Python packaging and Homebrew.
