Percona Toolkit is Percona's collection of advanced command-line utilities for MySQL-compatible database administration, diagnosis, replication, and maintenance.

Project history

Percona Toolkit was forked in June 2011 from Maatkit and Aspersa, projects created by Baron Schwartz and principally developed by Schwartz and Daniel Nichter.

Version 0.9.5, released on 4 August 2011, completed the fork, combination, and rebranding. Version 1.0.1 followed in September as the production-ready successor to the two earlier toolkits.
