Mongo Orchestration is a MongoDB Labs/10gen-era testing service for building disposable MongoDB topologies on one host. Its README describes it as an HTTP server with a REST API for creating and managing MongoDB configurations, explicitly aimed at testing MongoDB drivers rather than serving as a general database administration product.

In practice it starts and stops standalone mongod processes, replica sets, sharded clusters, shards, mongos routers, and replica-set members, then exposes those operations through REST endpoints.
