It displays and manipulates three-dimensional objects, reads several geometry formats, supports OOGL, and can operate either as a standalone viewer or as a display backend controlled by external programs. ### Historique du projet The project began in the summer of 1988 at the University of Minnesota Geometry Center with Pat Hanrahan's MinneView viewer. Charlie Gunn soon developed OOGL in conjunction with MinneView, and in 1991 a team led by Mark Phillips, Stuart Levy, and Tamara Munzner developed the revised OOGL system and new viewer named Geomview. The manual describes Geomview as originally written by Geometry Center staff beginning in 1991.
